Terms of Service

Last updated July 4, 2026.

These terms govern your use of STRPermitKit. By using the site or purchasing, you agree to them. Please read them with our Privacy Policy.

What the service is

STRPermitKit is a document-preparation tool for short-term-rental hosts. From the details you provide, it prepares a pre-filled registration packet and a renewal calendar for your city, with each requirement cited to your city's primary source.

STRPermitKit is an independent document-preparation tool — not legal advice, not affiliated with Airbnb, Vrbo, or any city government; verify all requirements with your city. STRPermitKit does not file anything on your behalf, does not guarantee that your city will approve your registration, and does not certify compliance. You are responsible for reviewing your packet and confirming every requirement with your city before you submit it.

Your license

When you purchase, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the product for your own purposes. The product and site content are ours and may not be resold or redistributed.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and for your own purposes. Don't scrape, copy, resell, or misrepresent it.

Payment and refunds

3-day money-back guarantee — if your permit packet isn’t right for your city, email us within 3 days for a full refund. See the full Refund Policy.

Renewal Monitor subscription & auto-renewal

The Renewal Monitor is optional. If you add it, it is a recurring subscription that bills $29 per year to your payment method and renews automatically each year until you cancel. You authorize STRPermitKit to charge that annual amount at the start of each term. You can cancel at any time from the billing section of your dashboard or by emailing support@strpermitkit.com; cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the term you've already paid for. Refund handling for renewal charges is described in our Refund Policy. Everything else on this page (STRPermitKit's one-time permit packets) is a single purchase, not a subscription.

No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy. Estimates and outputs are not guarantees of any outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, STRPermitKit’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Dispute resolution & governing law

If something's wrong, email support@strpermitkit.com first — we want to resolve it directly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, not as part of a class action.

Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
